Our mission is to introduce innovative Nanotechnology products, through the patented Nanotrap® technology, to commercial and government consumers, creating products and research applications that will benefit humanity.
Ceres was founded to take advantage of the huge potential of the Nanotrap® technology. The Nanotrap® technology has been in development for almost four years as part of a collaboration between George Mason University (see below) and Italy's ISS (Istituto Superiore di Sanitá). In early 2008, Ceres obtained an exclusive license from George Mason University to develop commercial applications for various market segments, together with a first right of refusal on developed applications as they are discovered at the University. Ceres is currently developing several exciting launch products at its lab facilities in Innovation Park, Manassas.
Conducting research into protein interactions, communications, and their impact on biology, the Center for Applied Proteomics and Molecular Medicine at GMU is on the new frontier of molecular medicine. Ceres Nanosciences and CAPMM have formed a close partnership to bring the fruits of this research to market.
