Nanotrap Microbiome Particles
Labs around the world are using Nanotrap® Microbiome Particles to capture and concentrate microbes from samples in order to improve detection of those microbes.
The Nanotrap Microbiome A Particles capture and concentrate a wide range of microbes, including influenza A virus, influenza B virus, respiratory syncytial virus, coronavirus 229E, coronavirus OC43, SARS-CoV-2, Zika virus, Chikungunya virus, dengue virus, pepper mild mottle virus, hepatitis A virus, monkeypox virus, and norovirus GII.
The Nanotrap Microbiome B Particles capture and concentrate a wide range of microbes, including Escherichia coli, Salmonella enterica, Campylobacter jejuni, Listeria monocytogenes, Clostridioides difficile, Candida auris, Cryptosporidium parvum, and Giardia lamblia.
There is a growing list of microbes that have been captured and concentrated with the Nanotrap Microbiome Particles. If you don’t see your microbe of interest on this list, contact us to discuss your application.
Compatible with qPCR, dPCR, ddPCR, sequencing, or immunoassay analysis methods.
Enables rapid and simple automated or manual methods for preparing wastewater samples for nucleic acid extraction, without filtration or centrifugation.
Successfully utilized in high-complexity and point-of-care RT-PCR assays with FDA Emergency Use Authorization for COVID-19.
Nanotrap® particles utilize affinity capture to attract and bind low abundance microbes. Nanotrap® particles do not utilize antibodies or other biomolecules as affinity molecules which means extended room temperature stability.
For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures.

WHAT OUR CUSTOMERS SAY
Lab Manager/Staff Research Associate III
UCLA Center for Neurobehavioral Genetics
"The workflow is very easy and the fact that this can be incorporated in an automated workflow makes it even better. I know that if there is virus in a sample, the Nanotrap particles will capture it. Other techniques are more labor intensive and far less reliable. When we have very dirty samples, I know this won’t be a problem for the Nanotrap technology. With our previous methods those sample types would fail, and I didn’t know if I could trust the data. Since we started using the Nanotrap particles, I fully trust my data."
Aaron Bivins, Ph.D.
Assistant Professor of Civil & Environmental Engineering
Louisiana State University
"With the Nanotrap particles I can now concentrate, extract, and test a week's worth of wastewater samples from our program in a single day. This is critical to inform public health decision-making in a timely manner."
Jessica Alfoldi, Ph.D.
Vice President of Research and Development
"Ceres Nanosciences has been a great partner for Biobot - both in assay development and implementation in production. With Nanotrap Particles, I know that my assays can scale for national-level programs."
