Nanotrap® Enhancement Reagents

Nanotrap® Magnetic Virus Particles rapidly capture and concentrate viruses from raw sewage, requiring no filtration or centrifugation. Nanotrap® Enhancement Reagent 1 (ER1) and Nanotrap® Enhancement Reagent 2 (ER2) improve the binding of viruses to Nanotrap® Magnetic Virus Particles in wastewater samples, further improving downstream detection of viral RNA. Automated and manual methods are available.

  • Improve SARS-CoV-2 RNA detection in wastewater by at least 1-2 Ct values using Nanotrap® Enhancement Reagents with Nanotrap® Magnetic Virus Particles

A KingFisher Apex System was used for virus capture and concentration, as well as for RNA extraction. Viral RNA was detected with the Promega N1 primer.

A KingFisher Apex System was used for virus capture and concentration, as well as for RNA extraction. Viral RNA was detected with the Promega PMMoV primer.
